So, Why is Travel Important When The Kids Are Grown and Gone?
When we took our first trip without kids we started off slowly. It was a familiar destination that turned out to be an amazing adult Disney trip (we have an article on that too!). It was a new type of vacation because we could plan exactly what we wanted to do (or not do) and it was a great experience that made introduced us to this new freedom!
Since then, there have we have been busy finding new and rewarding destinations while trying to visit all of the places on our ever-changing bucket lists.
Empty nest travel is not just about couple travel either! We’ve done solo trips, friend trips, girls (and guys) trips (and the TMMH team trips) and seen things in a new way. Discovering the world again with a fresh vision and empty nest mindset comes with the freedom to plan different types of trips that cater to our individual interests.
We’ve found that there are unique desires and concerns for us empty nesters.
