1. The Skull Bar at Mas Por Favor
Address: Mas Tacos | 3879 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102
The Skull Bar, hidden inside Mas Por Favor, is a speakeasy with a punk-rock kind of edge. Known for its dark, moody atmosphere and edgy decor, it’s a sharp contrast to its taco shop facade.
The drinks here are as bold as the ambiance, featuring smoky mezcal cocktails with intriguing flavor combinations. Pair a unique cocktail with their tacos or small bites for the ultimate experience.
The cocktails mainly feature tequila like the Jardin (loved it!), but we also recommend the delicious “Devil’s Playground” which is a bit spicy.
Tip: This is just down from The Golden Tiki (next stop) so plan on both!
Why The Skull Bar is a unique Vegas cocktail bar:
This amazing hidden bar is unique because of the entry hallway that leads you down an almost simulated drug trafficker passage complete with barrels and “packages”. It is located not too far off the strip and is close to some other really unique restaurants and bars. Definitely put this one on your list for a visit!

2. The Golden Tiki
Address: 3939 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102
We love a good tiki bar (as you will see from our faves on this list) and you really step into a tropical paradise at The Golden Tiki. With its detailed and elaborate tiki decor, exotic cocktails, and occasional surprise performances, this spot is both whimsical and entertaining. It’s a short drive from the strip, but it is definitely worth it!
Why we think The Golden Tiki is unique:
The immersive decor is really what makes this bar unique and there are photo ops everywhere! Don’t forget to open the portholes for photo “surprises”. There is also a giant pink clamshell that you can take a photo inside of.
Classic tiki drinks are served in quirky tiki mugs, and all drinks can be served “flaming” which makes it more fun! We had a classic Mai Tai and Hemingway’s Ruin and both were perfect! We loved the food here too!
Also, check out the “unique door handles” in the women’s bathroom. The bathroom is also reportedly haunted too!

3. Fireside Lounge at the Peppermill
Address: 2985 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109
A true Vegas classic, the Fireside Lounge at the Peppermill transports you to a retro wonderland. With its iconic fire pit fountains in the centers of seating areas, cozy booths, and the red glow with neon lighting, this lounge has been a Vegas favorite for decades. There is a restaurant (Peppermill) on the opposite side that was packed, but we pretty much had the lounge to ourselves at around 2:00 in the afternoon.
Why we think Fireside Lounge is unique:
We love the classic lounge vibe at Fireside Lounge. It makes you feel like you are in the heyday of “old Vegas” nights. The lounge has a great menu of small bites that compliment the cocktails perfectly. There really isn’t another place in Vegas to compare the Fireside Lounge to because it is such a throwback to the yesteryear of Vegas. It just has to be experienced to understand.
We definitely recommend getting a seat at one of the fire pit fountain areas! The televisions in the center show classic 80’s MTV videos too! We had a Key Lime Martini and shrimp cocktail there and they were perfection!
4. Frankie’s Tiki Room
Address: 1712 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102
Frankie’s Tiki Room is a beloved staple of the Las Vegas tiki bar scene, blending old-school Polynesian vibes with a hint of kitschy Vegas flair. The drink menu features creative concoctions like the “Tiki Bandit” and the “Bearded Clam,” each served in Frankie’s signature tiki mugs you can purchase and take home as a souvenir. Open 24/7, Frankie’s is the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the Strip at any hour.
Why we think Frankie’s Tiki Room is unique:
When you step inside and it feels kind of like a tropical dive bar complete with dim lighting, bamboo accents, and carved tiki statues, and sketchy tiki-lovers, but the uniqueness of the mugs, decor, and experience make it unique. Each month they offer new collectible mugs. The eclectic crowd at Frankie’s is also a part of its charm and what makes it unique.

5. Red Dwarf
Address: 1305 Vegas Valley Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89169
Red Dwarf is a unique Vegas tiki dive bar combines quirky decor with a laid-back vibe. Red Dwarf’s standout cocktails are tropical and strong, perfect for tiki drink enthusiasts. We sampled the “I Just Blue Myself” (a coconut rum, cinnamon, and pineapple drink) and a flaming Zombie, called “Braaaaaiiiinnnsss” and they were both delicious!
Why we think Red Dwarf cocktail bar is unique:
Its quirky dive bar decor, live music, and laid-back atmosphere make it a favorite among locals and a unique cocktail stop for Vegas visitors. The most unique thing is that big selection of the drinks are only 10$ which is great for Vegas! They also offer Detroit style pizza that people rave over (we didn’t get to try it). This unique local favorite should definitely make your cocktail travel list!
6. The Lock and Cabinet of Curiosities
Address: 3645 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (Inside Caesars Horseshoe Casino)
You’d almost never know this place on the strip inside the Horseshoe Casino was as cool as it is! This one is a must-do in Vegas!
Hang out for a bit in the main lounge, Cabinet of Curiosities, then step into a mysterious secret space at The Lock, hidden within the Cabinet of Curiosities (make a reservation first because it fills up). The atmosphere of the Cabinet of Curiosities is intriguing, with decor featuring oddities and treasures (that can be purchased now) on the walls, in cabinets, and drawers.
Before entering their hidden bar (The Lock) enjoy unique creative craft cocktails at Cabinet of Curiosities like the Flea Market Martini (my favorite), made with unique ingredients and served with theatrical presentation. Tip: Book one of their mixology classes to create your own at home and learn a little cocktail history!
Why we think The Lock and Cabinet of Curiosities are unique:
Everything about both of these cocktail bars is unique, from the decor, vibe, to the craft cocktails.
The secret entry and “escape room” style way that you gain access to The Lock also make this bar unique. This hidden speakeasy is accessed by first calling oh a special telephone to the “locksmith”, then solving a riddle to get the entry code numbers for either the hard way (slide) or easy way (portrait) to enter. The theming is fantastic!
The unique personality questionnaire drink at The Lock was also a hit with everyone in our party. We booked the VIP room within The Lock and it is an even more unique space with portraits that move or wink every few minutes and your own secret lounge room complete with your chosen music. There is a fee for the VIP room, but it comes with a bottle of champagne and really gives your group exclusive access to enjoy this space without interruptions. We have done it twice so far and loved it!
7. Vanderpump à Paris
Address: 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (Inside Paris Las Vegas)
Owned by the iconic Lisa Vanderpump, this elegant bar combines Parisian chic with whimsical charm and unreal design details that transport you. Adorned with lush greenery, chandeliers, and lavish furnishings, Vanderpump à Paris offers unique craft cocktails that are as visually stunning and delicious as the restaurant space. Our drink, the Bon Anni-Versailles came on a mirrored platter with a crown (sadly it doesn’t come off of the platter) and delicious macaron. We also recommend the Lovelocked (for 2) cocktail that comes with a lock that you can hang on their love lock gate at the entrance.
Why we think Vanderpump à Paris is a unique place for a cocktail:
Although this is located inside the Paris Casino on the strip in Vegas, the unique garden decor and over the top delicious food and drink options make this one a must-do. There is even an interactive, lighted Eiffel Tower street scene artwork behind the bar that “thunders and rains” every few minutes. The presentation of the food and cocktails is also unique.
Some fun Vegas tours:
8. Golden Monkey
Address: 3000 S Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89109
The Golden Monkey is another unique cocktail bar located on the Vegas strip inside of Resorts World. They offer a playful blend of bright Asian-inspired decor and inventive craft specialty cocktails. It’s known for its vibrant atmosphere and expertly crafted drinks and is a perfect stop for a fun night out. They don’t open until 5 p.m. so make this a later stop starting early.
Be sure to try their Guava Gal cocktail or the spicy Lattitude Adjustment featuring exotic fruits and spices that will tantalize your taste buds.
Why we think The Golden Monkey Tiki Bar is unique:
There is a unique backstory about how guardian of the forest, the Golden Monkey, battled the guardian of the ocean, the mermaid, but then came to a truce to protect all natural domains together. This backstory and drink options give a unique vibe to this bright and fun bar. It is more shiny and sleek than most tiki-themed bars, but the unique drinks are the stars here.
9. Ghost Donkey
Address: 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (Inside The Cosmopolitan 2nd floor)
Why we think Ghost Donkey Cocktail bar is unique:
Ghost Donkey is a mezcal and tequila lover’s paradise kind of hidden away in The Cosmopolitan. This intimate speakeasy-style bar is known for its festive, colorful decor and an impressive menu featuring rare agave spirits.
We are not huge tequila drink lovers, but really enjoyed the balance their Burro Tropical had. The small bites were just what we needed too. Don’t miss their Truffle Nachos, the perfect pairing for a craft cocktail like the Mezcal Mule.
There are quite a few other hidden cocktail bars in The Cosmopolitan, we just love this one the most. The vibe in there is intimate and fun. It was also one of our first secret bar experiences in Las Vegas so it has a special place in our favorites.
Finding the door is part of the fun—it’s a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. (see pic above)
