Hi! I’m Kerri “KJ”, the travel advisor behind Travel Makes Me Happy Vacations and the founder and primary travel writer behind Travel Makes Me Happy.
For years, I’ve been traveling, researching destinations, reviewing hotels and cruises, building itineraries, and sharing firsthand travel experiences here on the blog and through our Travel Makes Me Happy YouTube and social channels.
Travel planning has always been one of my favorite parts of the experience. I love digging into the details, comparing options, and finding those little things that can make a trip better.
I also have a master’s degree in sociology, with graduate work focused on the sociology of travel and why travel can be such a meaningful part of our lives.
Becoming a travel planner felt like a natural extension of what I’ve already been doing through Travel Makes Me Happy: helping people turn travel inspiration into trips they are genuinely excited to take.
